Masterclass on traditional versus self-publishing

In April I’m running a live online masterclass on traditional vs self-publishing, including hybrid.

If you’re stuck at that crossroads — Do I query agents? Do I publish it myself? Could I do both? — this session is designed to give you a clear, practical framework so you can choose the path that fits your book and your goals. (Side note, I’m thinking about all of these issues myself!)

In the first half hour, I’ll demystify how traditional publishing really works: the agent route, submissions, what timelines actually look like, and the basics of rights and contracts — including the clauses writers often miss, like options and non-competes.

Then Ken Preston — a self-published author and creative writing teacher — will take you through self-publishing and hybrid routes, what it takes to do it professionally, what it tends to cost, and what can genuinely pay off.

We’ll finish with plenty of time for live Q&A, and you’ll also get a recording and a bonus handout to help you decide your next steps.
